"There is more good in world than evil." Peter York's letter in the Herald

16 Nov 2015

Plymouth's Herald newspaper today published this letter from Peter York, the President of the Plymouth Liberal Democrats:

May I through this column express my shock and sadness regarding the sad news from Paris. I ask myself what can we do about this very serious problem?

Though we can never right the horrific wrongs of terrorism at the hands of ISIS, or stop the devastation felt by the people who have lost loved ones.

We must show them that we stand with them, we must stay strong, stay human. There is far more good in the world than evil.

Here is a quote from Martin Luther King Junior: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.

"Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

We must all remember that terrorism has no religion. Yes, there is more good in the world than the evil of ISIS.

Peter York
