Local party news update

26 Sep 2018

Our website has been a little quiet lately, but that is not to say that the Plymouth Lib Dems haven't been busy.

Following an increase in votes at the Stoke by-election in July, we have been putting our plan together for the 2019 local elections (not to mention the ever looming possibility of an early general election). Also, August saw the local party joining up with colleagues from Devon and Cornwall to take part in Plymouth Pride, joining the march and running a stall.

In September, a number of our members attended Luke Pollard's Brexit summit, both in the audience asking questions and on the panel, which included Totnes Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Caroline Voaden. In October, Brexit activity will continue, as a number of local members travel to London for the next People's Vote march (on 20th).

Several members from Plymouth also attended the recent autumn conference in Brighton. A brief write up will be posted on this site shortly. Finally, last week our student team ran their annual stall at the Plymouth University Fresher's Fair, helping to bring younger members on board.

We have a busy few months ahead of us, so we will keep you updated. You can also keep an eye on our latest developments via our social media channels.
