The Lib Dems put on a solid performance in the 2018 local elections, both in Plymouth and across the UK.

We were the only party to make a net gain in the number of councils under our control, gaining Richmond, South Cambridgeshire, Three Rivers, and Kingston upon Thames.

We also successfully held Eastleigh, South Lakes, Sutton, Cheltenham, and Watford.

We had a net gain of 75 councillors across the country. This was slightly less than Labour's 77, but it means we had a larger proportional growth than Labour, while the Conservatives had a net loss.

In Plymouth our vote share increased from 0.9% to 5.3%. We've still got a long way to go, but that's almost a six-fold increase

Thank you to everyone who voted for us, supported us, and campaigned with us.
