Introduction from Local candidate Richard Worrall

The local elections in May next year might seem a long way off, but the Liberal Democrats are already gearing up to offer a better alternative for Plymouth.

I'm your candidate for Plymstock Dunstone, where Liberal Democrats in your area will be working hard to make sure I can represent you on Plymouth City Council.

Plymouth is my home: it's where I've raised two daughters with my wife, Sarah. I'm proud to say they are all healthcare professionals with vast experience in care; our household is passionate about improved quality of life for our older generation, and that's something I would fight for as your representative.

But I won't stop there. As a Liberal Democrat, I want everyone to enjoy their fair share of our city's prosperity. I want to see more progress in improving Plymouth's roads, and my love of running lets me appreciate our green spaces. I want to safeguard them and create a better environment for you and your families.

I care about honest politics that works for you, and that's why I'll work with others across the political divide to get the results you need. We've had enough tribalism, so let's do better. Let's fight for a kind of politics that listens and cares.

To win, we need your help.

Whether it's delivering leaflets, making a donation, or telling your friends and family about the positive difference Liberal Democrats already make in council seats across the country: every contribution will count and could help us tip the balance.
