Tim Dumper, Exmouth's Lib Dem candidate believes that joined up thinking is required to solve some of Exmouth's transport problems.

The pandemic has put in sharp relief problems of congestion, especially on the seafront, and action is needed to make things safer for pedestrians, cyclists, disabled people and motorists.

Tim says "I welcome the recent introduction of a half hourly bus between the Town Centre and the seafront linking with Devon Cliffs at Sandy Bay by Stagecoach, together with buses in the evening. I believe that further safer provision for those walking and using their bikes is required.

"In other parts of town, safe provision is needed at the Hulham Road end of Dinan Way, and a good crossing when the new Dinan Way link to the A376 Exeter Road is built, currently awaiting confirmation of a Government grant.

"As elsewhere provision for walkers and cyclists and those with disabilities should be implemented. Not least, we need traffic lights provided at the junction between Liverton Park and Salterton Road, where the large scheme currently being built needs to be enhanced."
